The Dyslexic Advantage / by Brock and Fernette Eide
Great intro to understanding dyslexia and how there are positives to having it. One of the first books I read - or could actually find in the early years.
All About IEPS / by WrightsLaw
Perfect for the overview of what to expect at an IEP meeting.
WrightsLaw - Special Education Law / by Peter Wright
I personally attended a seminar with Peter Wright - it was AMAZING! He cracked the code and beat the odds with dyslexia and became a lawyer. This book basically takes the Special Education Law and breaks it down into layman's terms. * Make sure to get the newest edition for updated laws.
Book Share - Younger grades it is more robotic voices - but gets younger children to focus on the words as they are being read. Helps to gain sight word recognition.
Learning Ally - 5th grade and beyond allows children to engage in their studies as well as getting into books of choice.
iPad - With younger children iPads are great source of 'fun' apps that you can supper impose education into their fun.
Chrome Bk/PC - Middle school and beyond can gain better control with a touch screen.
